Journey into Science

Since high school, I knew I wanted to be in the field of psychology. I wanted to understand what made people think and act the way they do, what happens in their brain when mental health afflicts them, and be part of the field that helps them heal. Between working with substance misuse recovery programs and preclinical research during my university training, I have a well-rounded perspective and knowledge of mental health and neuroscience. Using my PhD in Experimental Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience, I have started a career as a writer who translates current scientific research in the fields of psychology and neuroscience into digestible articles for the public.
